Graeculus is a Latin course, written to fill a gap. There are many other Latin courses available, some of which are very good: this one is unique, highly resourced and written to make fullest use of modern technology.
Graeculus means “little Greek”, a nickname given to the Emperor Hadrian. The Latin course Graeculus follows the course of his life as he became the most powerful man in the Roman world.
The first version of this course was developed for use by students in the European School, Karlsruhe, Germany. These students played an essential part in developing new materials and to contributing towards the construction of a Graeculus website, illustrations, further exercises and extension materials. They are mentioned in the Acknowledgements section of this website.
