Gods 3.1 is designed for use by students aged between 11
and 16. In the case of most users, about 80 minutes will be required
for the completion of all tasks, when a percentage score will be
generated for teacher reference. The six sections are devoted to Christianity, Eastern Gods, Minor Gods, Myths, Olympians and Temples. Of these, the three sections on Christianity, Myths and Temples are all new, and the other sections have all had major rewrites. Many photographs illustrate the texts, taken all around the Mediterranean.
J-PROGS
software has always
been easy to use and the all-new interface makes it even easier than
before to make progress. Coloured buttons encourage students to move
forwards (green) or backwards (red). This makes it very simple to
complete all the assignments in sequence. As a student commences on a
new section of a program, an awareness of the colour system may help
him or her to work through each section in a logical order.
The new interface has been designed from scratch, so it offers better networking capabilities than before. Network administrators can select score saving options ranging from "Don't save anything when student quits", to "Save scores to list of previous users", or "Save scores to hard disk". The list of previous users now keeps scores of the previous 50 users, which can be accessed and printed as a separate file for teacher records, if required.
